My husband and I took a balloon ride over the city in 2007. It was a memorable experience.
The ride started at about 5:30 am. 10 passengers got into a balloon. A few balloons were launched at the same time. It was pretty looking a the other balloons against the backdrop of orange sunrise. The ride lasted about 50 minutes.

Evelyn: What a fun happening, I have never been up but like to capture them from the ground. You photos are so neat from the sky.
Great photos, and interesting post. Beautiful pink sky!
Happy weekend :)
Wow, what a view you had. Lovley photos.
Great balloon and sky shots.
woww.. gorgeous views and beautiful early morning rays...
Very nice! I love the shots looking down on things. :-o
Oh wow, that's certainly a good way to be taking lovely shots!
Marvelous but scary. You're brave!
What a great experience!.
I wish that I have a chance to ride this, but balloon ride is a rare event here.
Great pictures.
Awesome post! Balloons are a pretty big deal in my city. There are some in the sky most mornings--enough that we notice the absence if they are gone. But I have never been in one or seen pictures from anyone else who has. These are fantastic!
Interesting!
The photos from your balloon looking down on the earth are amazing. I feel like I just went up with you!
Fun views of the city from there, looks like a fun way to see the best of Melbourne.
I'm consumed with jealousy, always wanting to go for a balloon ride, but never quite making it. Someday! These pictures inspire me.
Must have been a fun and exciting ride you had. These mid-air shots are so great ad fabulous.
I don't have a head for heights, so I'm unlikely ever to take a balloon ride, but this shows me what I'm missing.
wow..i would love to try that..
