We went for a walk in the West Gate Park last week. The park is rather interesting with birds and Australian indigenous trees and shrubs. There are also a few sculptures.
A sculpture against the blue sky
Birds having a nice quite time on their own little island in the middle of a pond
The park runs along the banks of the Yarra River under the Westgate Bridge (above). The bridge joins Melbourne's western suburbs to the CBD, and is used by by thousands of commuters daily.
Railway track which is no longer used
Good to see that the park is recycling used cartons
Finally, a couple of photos of flowers taken during our walk.
Enjoy your weekend.

Wonderful photos, Evelyn. The birds are cool, especially the Stilt. The last photo of the yellow flower is just beautiful!
Wonderfull shots, thanks for sharing :))
The windmill in the first photo reminds «Louis» of his childhood in the Texas Panhandle. The windmills not only drew water, but generated electricity.
Re your question at San Francisco Bay Daily Photo, many of the images «Louis» posts are taken from his balcony. Chez la Vache is on the 14th floor and looks out on San Francisco Bay. We can see the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge, the Golden Gate Bridge; Treasure Island, Yerba Buena Island, Alcatraz Island and Angel Island; part of Marin County and part of Richmond Harbor. Other than that, we don't see much... ;-)
This is a nice place for a walk.
I would love to do that walk it looks so pretty. Great shots. I can remember when the westgate bridge collapsed when they were building it.
