Cheers from Port Melbourne

I was sharing a beer with my husband the other day, and playing with the camera… and the result is the top picture…

You may remember the ship in the middle of the above photo from my other posts. The Spirit of Tasmania is a passenger ferry, which goes to and fro Port Melbourne and Tasmania everyday.

Here is another look at the Spirit of Tasmania. This photo was taken from a nearby pub.

The Spirit of Tasmania (on the left) looks small compared to the cruise ship (on right).

Zooming in… this cruise ship (named The World) stopped here for 2 days in January.

That’s My World for now.

Great pictures and that ferry is beautiful.

Interesting, the passenger ferries look big when you see them alone, but they do seem to shrink beside a cruise ship! Great shots, Evelyn! Hope you have a great week!

Thanks for the visit, Evelyn!

Enjoyed the photos here. The cruise ship sure dwarfed the "Spirit."

What a creative way to put a ship in a bottle. Love this.

The World is a huge cruise ship, but it does make the Tasmania look quite small, even though it is a large ship itself.
Unusual first shot.

Great summery shots of the port. The two ships look great.

Amazing that the ship is so in focus through the glass!

What fun to see these photos. I confess that I did not realize there are palm trees in Tasmania. For some uninformed reason I believed Tasmania was far to south. I have so much to learn!

@Stine: This is Victoria, not Tasmania. A little bit north of Tasmania... but palm trees are not natural here, altho they seem to do ok. Thanks for visiting.
