These photos were taken in Sydney Hyde Park a few weeks ago. It’s a very green place and a lovely place to go to for a walk and/or people watching.
The War Memorial reflected in a pool of water…

This guy making huge bubbles is a hit with kids. See next photo.
The surface is just beautiful…
I pity this poor birdie, which has to live with the huge tag. This poor guy was the only one amongst the ibis with a number!
A section of Sandringham Gardens in the park
Have a nice week.

what a sweet place in the city. have a lovely new year's celebration.
It does seem the tag would bother the poor bird. Love that first shot with the reflection and all. :0)
Great photos. Those huge bubbles are awesome.

We have the same section. amazing!
Love the reflection and the bubbles are terrific.
That is a majestic War Memorial.
We have swans where I live with big yellow tags. Looks a bit unsightly, but I doubt they even notice.
Gorgeous shots!
My watery Wednesday, happy new year!
Lovely shots of a wonderful place. Love the bubbles!!!
a lovely place to sit awhile and spend time with the kids. think of the bird as a candidate for Miss Universe.:p
Great photos! I also pity the poor bird. Have a very happy new year!
Dear Evelyn,
Wow, so beautiful photos that make me proud of living in Sydney. Thank you so much. And...wish you a Happy New Year!!
Cheers, Sadami
Great reflection and I'm just a little envious of that sun right now!
I love your last shot! Looks so warm and inviting :-D
It looks like a very nice place!
Great pictures, especially the first one with the beautiful reflections!
It's so nice to know you are out in the warm sunshine shooting such great shots, (the war memorial photo is wonderful--and that poor bird). Sydney looks like a lovely city to roam around and take in the sights.
The reflection you captured of the War Memorial is excellent. Have a happy new year Evelyn.
