A watercolour and pen piece completed early this week.
This week, I also attempted a few pen drawings without first using a pencil. Because I was not able to erase, the errors stayed… The perfectionist in me kept wanting to give up, but my friend who was drawing with me encouraged me to keep going.
I completed 3 sketches. Here is the last one, which kept me busy during breakfast:
I am enjoying the process a little more, and am glad to have tried a new way to draw. But I know that I will most probably cringe, when I look back at this drawing a year from now.
This is my first Creative Every Day post.

You know, when you are doing the pen drawings and make a "mistake," you can just use it to go in a different direction. In architecture they say, if you make a mistake, feature it. It's nice to find someone from Down Under on CED!
By the way, thanks for visiting my blog!
Nice drawing, love the hat. The Mad Hatter's Tea Party perhaps?
Enjoy your weekend.
Cheers.

Your drawings are really good and very creative:)
Oh how I love the expression on the blonde girl's face. Great to see your work here.
I look forward to getting to know you through CED2010.
This is so beautiful! Love//Eva
such beautiful work! and good for you for challenging yourself and continuing when you wanted to give up!
I think you have a creative mind, complemented with creative hands. Do continue with this art expression because I love your sketches and drawings.
Hi. I really like your illustrations. You have a very nice style in which you sparingly use line and color in very specific ways that give each drawing impact.
That watercolor and pen of the blond girl in the hat is pretty amazing. Great style!
