The series of sculptures lining Sandridge Bridge is called The Travellers. The work is about the waves of immigrants who came to Melbourne.
Sandridge Bridge is a pedestrian bridge over the Yarra River. It’s lovely to walk along here when the shadows of the giant sculptures makes patterns on the ground (I have posted a black and white photo here).
You will be able to see glass pieces in the first picture, with names of countries. When I was there, the glass with Macedonia inscribed was broken, and I thought that it made a rather interesting picture.
Here is another photo which shows the sculptures, but Sandridge Bridge (not shown) is actually behind the bridge that you see in this photo.

I love this bridge! Thanks for introducing folks in the northern hemisphere to the delights of Melbourne. The play of light on the bridge against that astonishing blue sky is quite wonderful.
I agree that second one is amazing the way the light reflects off the metal and glass...beautiful!
