Osaka reflection

Dotonbori reflection © Evelyn Howard 2010

It’s not a clear reflection but I love it – I think it looks a little bit like oil painting… I have flipped it upside down. Hope you like it too. Visit James at Weekend Reflections for more pics.

Our next stop after Beijing was Osaka. This photo is taken at Dotonbori in Osaka. I enjoyed people watching there. It is also a popular tourist spot for food and shopping.

Did I say people watching? There are lots of them!

Takoyaki Octopus Balls © Evelyn Howard 2010

The famous ‘Takoyaki" or  octopus balls. Yummy but only in small doses…

Visit Scenic Sunday for more photos.

I love it, Evelyn! What delightful, colorful reflections! I might have a little difficulty with the octopus balls, but they do look delicious and I'm always willing to try something new and that would definitely be something very new!! Have a lovely weekend! Enjoy!

Great photos! Both reflection shots are beautiful. I like the first shot's soft mistiness. Also like the vibrant color in the second shot. Never heard of takoyaki.....

I won't like to live here, your second photo is so crowded.

I love the reflections in the water. Beautiful shot. Octopus balls sound interesting.

I quite like the reflection because it is not clear. It softens the bright lights of the city scene.

Love the first photo - it reminds me of mother of pearl or opals. The others give an interesting glimpse into Japanese life.

How were the octopus balls? I had soem in Singapore during my last trip. Don't think I fancy them much.

How long are you traveling?

I have been to Osaka and Kyoto and am loving your photos. You visited many of the same places that I did. Japan is a photo no matter which direction you are looking! Wow!
