Dancing colours

Table Display Sketch © Evelyn Howard 2010

Most of our favourite breakfast places tend to be busy during the weekends. To avoid the crowd, we sometimes go to a nearby shop called Campari. On Sunday, they had a huge display table which caught my eye, so I sketched it.

I felt that a sense of community and fun was lacking. Campari is big place so it tends to be quiet. But I wanted my sketch to be dynamic and happy, so when I got home, I added the bits of colours. I wanted them to dance, as well as to reflect the wine and food on display.

The colour is a good idea. Nice sketch and you are lucky to go for breakfast so often.

Oh you are so talented! I love how you added the bubbles! Did you draw at all when you were in Japan? I'd love to see how you interpret parts of Japan :D

What a wonderful sketch and watercolor! I've been enjoying your photos but this is real art.

Very pretty sketch! I like the "loose" lines you use, whether with added color or not.

I know several people who draw on-site during breakfasts out quite regularly. Sounds fun. My idea of "breakfast out" is to walk up to the chicken coop for eggs. That gets me out, HA!
