Tetsugaku no michi, Kyoto

Tetsugaku no michi or the Philosopher’s Path is named after a philosopher who used the path for his daily meditation. It was a beautiful pedestrian path along a canal, with lovely cherry trees and temples along the way.

This is a wonderful place to see cherry blossoms, but we were there in summer so my photos are green (you can see some colourful photos, and get more info here).

I've never been here before! The path surrounded by all the greenery is lovely! It must be a popular place in the fall too, as I see the momiji trees :D

I LOVE these! I walked the same path two springs ago during cherry blossom time. It was late at night and the lights on the beautiful trees was awesome! Oh, wow! I am homesick for one of my favorite countries!

I've always wanted to go to the gardens of kyoto... a coworker of mine went and brought back plenty of pictures so that works I suppose. I really like the paving.
