When I was in Malaysia 2 years ago, I spotted this creeper plant on the ground. It seemed to go on and on, so I decided to zoom in and photograph just a little section (below). I love the contrast between the smooth leaves and the textured gravel.
The photo came in handy when I was looking for a subject to draw this weekend. My interpretation of the leaves against the rough background is shown above, completed in watercolour. It was a fun exercise.
Hope you have a great week.

Very cool! It almost looks like a kind of clover! Wonder if there would be any lucky 4-leafed sections?
Dear Evelyn,
Beautiful work! You have very good eyes to find beautify in everyday and anywhere.
Cheers, Sadami
You are very talented Evelyn. I wish I could paint like that!
Well done. The contrast works well.
I love both the drawing and the photo! Wonderful contrast :-D
It looks great! The white leaves are really striking against the background.

Lovely shapes in the negative space, and great gravel texture!
I admire all of your beautiful drawings! This one as well! :) So nice with the rough background!
Great subject matter and a lovely picture! I, too, love the contrast.
Oh crminiee, Evelyn! I can't believe how far back I had to scroll to catch up with you! Blame a hectic week. But I see you've had a good week of posts! I really like your white on brown interpretation of the green creeper. Nice!
