The Marble Boat in Summer Palace

Hope you are having a nice week. It’s Wednesday – where has the week gone? It’s one of those weeks for me – it feels like I haven’t done much at all. Anyway, I am going back in time (2 months) for this submission.

The Marble Boat or Boat of Purity and Ease (Qing Yan Fǎng) is on a lake on the grounds of the Summer Palace in Beijing. Only the base is marble, while the pavilion is made of wood.

What a beautiful boat. Great Capture.

@Sadami - it's built on the water so yes, not really floating.

@ewok1993: It doesn't sail unfortunately. It's just there for viewing.

That is gorgeous! I have always wanted to live on a houseboat, like Quincy, this would be even cooler! :)
