Seagull in watercolour

Vacuuming and watercolour goes really well together. I completed this piece today, while I was cleaning the house. I usually haven't the patience to wait for the paint to dry. But going back and forth between vacuuming and painting helped, so I finally finished my first ever bird in watercolour. :)

Dear Evelyn,
Good on you, busy lady & artist. Cute work and paper's effect is very interesting.

wow, a really lovely painting! I hope the benefit of painting on cleaning was as great as cleaning on painting in which case your place is now sparkling.

Amazing details, Evelyn! I love how the gull looks sort of arrogant, like he's 'letting' you draw him :-D

I'll have to try that! Great work. It makes me long for summer.

Evelyn, this painting is so lovely! I love watercolors but just completely intimidated by them. I can't wait to see more of your projects through AEDM :)

Lovely artwork - if that's your first bird you'd better try more, as you seem to have caught that one beautifully. Nice idea to do a bit of housework and a bit of play in turns.

He's beautiful! sometimes when I'm feeling reluctant to get in the studio, I will remember about the paint drying time, and I can talk myself into working on something in bits and pieces.
