Hi there! :) So many lovely photos and drawings since the last time I visited your blog!! I think you are very clever! And it gives me so much inspiration.. :)
Trees are difficult to sketch you have done a good job. I actually saw a tree with a tap in it at Emma Gorge Resort on El Questro property in the Kimberley.
The spigot was a wonderful touch. the other tree sketch is enjoyable too with or without wild life. I like the crosshatching. You still haven't told me what pen you use?
I thought the cookie on your blog test 2 was a cookie I've seen before. It wasn't gobbledygook. It needed a few sprinkles for color.

LOL! Love the tap on the first tree!
Both are lovely!
I just thought is was a laundry line or something ;-D
Love both sketches!
A koala would look nice in there. Love them both - the first one makes me laugh.
what a fun post - love this
actually, as I think about this - you need to submit it to the Whimsical Wednesday collection here:

Thanks every for visiting.
@dthasse: I've linked into Web of Whimsy. Thanks.
I love the second drawing - it would make a gorgeous photograph!
The spigot tree is quite amusing!
(Perhaps this is the new way of extracting maple syrup!)
Yep, a smiling koala would've added a touch of whimsy to the second sketch too.
I always love your sketches and these are so fun!
My picture was not snow that fell.. It was snow lying on the balcony.. I was surprised hearing you've never seen snow! =)
Thanks for your comment! :)
You are very talented. I love the whimsy of the faucet on the tree trunk with the bird below. :)

Thanks Diane
I found it! Haha, I googled it and it led me back to you! So I'm going over to your blog now!

Hi Linda
Sorry I must have missed your question. I use uni pin fine liners and staedtler pigment liners from sizes 0.05 to 0.8. I usually only use 3 sizes (0.05/0.1, 0.3 and 0.8). I also carry around a few shades of grey Faber Castell pitt artist pens for shading, which sometimes comes in handy.
I was at the art shop yesterday and bought a set of Letraset aqua promarkers. :) more materials to play with!
Happy weekend, Ev
Love the tab on the first and the crosshatching on the second. Beautiful and unique ;-)
