Thinking of Japan

Fukuoka food stall © Evelyn Howard 2011

I’ve been reading about the earthquakes in Japan and I feel sad, that there is so much damage and lost lives. Since I started learning Japanese months ago, I’ve come into contact with a few Japanese, whom I communicate with on a regular basis. Many of them are ok, but I have not heard from everyone. So, my best wishes to everyone in Japan…

Anyway, this photo was taken in Fukuoka, Japan last year. Food stalls (like this one) were only set-up at night. I regret that I did not eat at the stalls… I’ll just have to go back to Fukuoka :)

Happy Weekend.

I hope you'll get in contact with the ones you miss..

Best regards
Viola.

It is devastating news. I hope all your friends are safe. The food stall looks inviting.

I am so sad about Japan and I am hoping there is not further damage with these other possible waves.

Eating at food stalls is always a good reason to go back. I share your compassion for the victims of Mother Nature's cruelty. Check out the videos on BBC - they are devastating.
