Just the two of us

Just the two of us © Evelyn Howard 2011

Just the two of us - another one for my Sketchbook Project, which is in a slightly different style from the earlier pieces.

Apple on a plate © Evelyn Howard 2011

A drawing exercise – why is the apple such a hard object to paint? For me anyway…

Happy Weekend

and Paint Party Friday is the place to go for more paintings.

you did a great job with that apple, and nice sketch for the sketchbook too. Hands are also hard to do.

Pretty good apple me thinks!

The apple looks great! The hands in your other picture are very good. So difficult to do I think.
Happy PPF.

wow, that cat illustration is gorgeous - it almost looks like graphic design but if its a sketchbook then it must be hand painted? Wonderful! The apple looks great - you mastered it1

The cats work is sweet and creative; about the apple, it would be difficult (or impossible) for me to paint, but you always succeed!
Have a good weekend Evelyn!

That apple looks good enough to eat! Very nice. I love how the two cats are just sitting there quietly looking at the ferris wheel go by. Well done. Happy PPF.

Evelyn, I was just going to key in "that apple looks good enough to eat!" when I noticed that that phrase has already been used. LOL! But seriously, you have done an outstanding work on this piece of art. It is beautiful. Faye

These are fab.... love the ferris wheel as I am a bit of a fan of them... and the apple made me smile, not only because this is great but because they are my Challenge object all the time... they always give me trouble!!!

Your apple doesn't look like you struggled with it. I can't figure out what you meant by that comment... You vibrant color choices are wonderful.

«Louis» noticed the "O - Organics" label on the apple. You must have bought the apple at Safeway when you were in California. «Louis» wrote the business plan to justify the "O - Organics" programme at Safeway.

Cute sketches! I really should try and sketch from real life! So interesting! I've never tried painting an apple. I think it would be a disaster! Patsy from
