My World: Interesting cafe in Melbourne

I was in the city shopping for Christmas presents. It was time for coffee, and we found this fantastic place with loads of character.

Our coffee was served on rickety old boxes/tables.

We nearly didn’t make it there. Looking at the background, my first instinct was to find another place.

In spite of what was around, it was actually very clean…

These interesting frames decorate the walls leading to the cafe.

Looking back at where I came from

Pinocchio seems to be chocking, but it was really quite pleasant…

The front of the cafe. Notice that the tiles are like water dripping from the windows above.

The ceiling is creatively decorated with ferns growing in plastic bags.

What a fun place! I love the rickety old wooden table box and the dripping water tiles, but oh dear...poor Pinocchio. :0

@The Good Life in Virginia: Yes, a very small seating area inside... outside is definitely better :)

What cool place, there are things to look at everywhere. The fern bags hanging from the ceiling are a neat idea.

I've been here too! It's so definitely 'Melbourne' isn't it? I love all the little laneways and hidey hole cafes in this beautiful city. Love your blog too! xo
