Watery reflections

These photos were taken at the Melbourne Botanical Garden recently.

Melbourne Botanical Gardens © Evelyn Howard 2010I was quite tempted to rotate this 180 degrees so that the trees stand upright, but decided against it after testing it a few times.

Duck in water © Evelyn Howard 2010 A duck having a nice swim. This is a different lake from the above.

I like the way my focus shifts back and forth from the reflection to the plants on the water. Also that's a very nice looking duck.

Both of your photos make for interesting contrast. Truly great shots. The one with shadow is really neat.

The first one looks like an impressionistic painting and the duck is really cute!

Beautiful reflections! Love how the first photo seems all reflection! Magical!

Very good reflections. It would have been fun to see the trees right-side-up in the water, just a bit disconcerting. And I adore the duck with his graceful reflection.
