After about a week in Osaka, we headed to Kyoto on the bullet train. It was thrilling but I will leave that for another post. Guide books advise to go up to the Kyoto Station Building to see the sunset. We did just that and it was awesome.
Kyoto Tower reflection shot from the top of Kyoto Station Building
Kyoto tower is an observation tower and is the tallest structure in Kyoto
Fantastic colours as the sun set, with the moon high up in the sky
Colours over the city and the beautiful mountains (a helipad in the foreground ).
Looking back down at Kyoto Station Building from the top floor.
On another night, I photographed the tower from the ground.

Terrific shots! I've been up the Kyoto Tower but never thought to go up the station for a view! Clever idea! Love that first shot especially.
