Beomeosa Temple in Busan, Korea

This is also known as Temple of the Nirvana Fish – I love this name. This temple dates back to 678 – that’s quite old!

In the background, Geumjeong Mountain is covered by mist. This mountain is a very popular hiking destination – more on this soon. Let’s look around the temple now…

There are a number of buildings and objects classified as official treasures. This stone lamp and the pagoda further behind are two of them.

Very lush and green around the temple

One of many steles leading to the entrance of the temple

Meditating and/or praying…

Zooming in…  I love the details of the building.

And a spoon on a door to end… I don’t know why it was there, but it made an interesting photo.

Hope you enjoyed the photos. Join me again soon, and we will hike up Geumjeong Mountain (as shown in the first photo) .

The first shot is very dream-like...can't wait to see your hike! The temples also remind me a little bit of Okinawa...all the bright colors ;-D

What wonderfully uplifting shots! So dreamy in the mist. Perhaps that spoon is to knock on the door with?

Nice set of interesting pictures...colours, spoon and tour of the building. I particularly like your composition with the first one as it is always difficult talking about something that doesn't look much in mist.

These lovely photographs make me so sad my bum knee did in our trip. I would have loved to walked where you walked. The overall colors of the photos are so right. The mist is Jade right and the reds terrific. I especially like the close up of the door bell with a dangling pull rope.
Beautiful Evelyn.
