The Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb is supposedly one of the top things to do in Sydney. I have never done it but I guess the view must be fantastic up there. I know a friend who has done it twice.
The summit is 134 meters (440 feet approx) above Sydney Harbour.

it would be a great experience climbing the Harbor Bridge. can people rappel from the bridge?
«Louis» would like to do this!
He appreciates your frequent contributions to Sunday Bridges.
;-D
When I come to Sydney, we can go together.
Only yesterday, we have friends from Thailand asking how we walk the Auckland bridge. I proudly told her I walked half of it when I went with my daughter when she bungy jumped from the highest point. (We were under the nridge.
A couple of great shots of the old coathanger.
Dear Evelyn,
Wow, I'd like to climb it up to the top. I just walked across it, a very long way. Thank you for the beautiful photos.
Cheers, Sadami
Go on. Just do it!
I got faint just looking at your photo! Waaay too high for me! But for all the spidermans out there, it must be a thrill! Are you planning on doing this, Evelyn? :-D
I'd LOVE to climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge!
I can only imagine how WINDY it would be up on those arches!
@Kaori: no, not for me. It's hard work!
@Lesley: Good point. I think I will take the easy way out; get into a lift to to restaurant on a tall building, sip coffee and enjoy the view :)
@Ann and @Sadami: come to Melbourne and we can stroll along the beach... or along the Yarra River.
@Luna: Never heard of people doing that but the truth is I don't know. There's a lot of safety measures taken with the climbing groups and I've never heard of anything more adventurous than that.
Bridge walking and climbing are activities I'm saving for another life. Great photo. I love steel structures--especially with little, tiny people on them.
If ever I visit Sydney, I want to climb that bridge!
Great capture.. At first sight, it looks like ants are climbing up the bridge.. :)
