A few more – San Francisco Sketchbook

Carousel © Evelyn Howard 2011

When I saw a carousel, I was transported back to my childhood. I just had to stop to paint this.

When I was a kid I loved carousels, and I used to think that they were like magic horses. :)
Great sketches Evelyn, I love the last one, it's like a passage to a great adventure!

You do't need a camera with your talent for sketching. You must have great journals of your travels.

I was going to say what you wrote about the first sketch of the carousel - reminds me of when I was a child long ago.

Carousels are always fun! Having 4 kids, gives us an excuse to ride them these days too. Thanks for sharing, Evelyn!

:) Maybe we should re live those moments and get on a carousel!

Thanks Joe
Nice. One of these days, I will get on a carousel.

Thanks Kaori
Something magical about carousels... I think it's also the accompanying music. I get a thrill just standing by the side listening and looking...
