Around my neighbourhood in Melbourne, Australia. The building is not so colourful, but I could not help myself when I had a few boxes of watercolours to play with.
It is Paint Party Friday again!
A couple of night shots – this is a view of the port
And restaurants at night for Weekend Reflections.
We had a lovely sunny day yesterday. I took this photo with my iPhone when I was out walking. We don’t normally have clouds like these – they remind me of the Simpsons on telly.

Those clouds! Those clouds! Those clouds! I'm at a loss for words... I can't believe you took that photo on an iPhone. I mean, I DO believe you, but it boggles my mind.
Very classy little painting!
Beautiful scenery. Love your sketch! :)
Evelyn, I love your sketch, the magical and beautiful night view with reflections, and the sky singing never-ending melodious tune.

The last photo reminds me of your work, with people climbing up to the clouds.
Have a good weekend Evelyn! ;-)
Love your sketch of the buildings. The skyscape is very interesting.
I love your neighbourhood painting! Interesting architecture. and you captured the clouds well - in the sketch and the photo.
I need to work on clouds...
Your neighborhood looks so clean and crisp with a few colour highlights a wonderful sketch Dxx

Beautiful art this morning, Evelyn! Nice pop of colour from your watercolours. Love your photos too.
Awesome art work! Very well done ~ LOL ~ I know when you have the watercolor box ~ got to have color! Great job! ~thanks, namaste, Carol (Share the Creative Journey) Happy PPF ^_^
Awesome work and those phots are great as well. Those clouds though are beautiful. I want to be up there looking down. Nice!
I love your style. I look at this piece and think "that's it. I'm going to focus all of my effort on improving my drawing skills. no more wasting my time on these other things - nothing but drawing for me". of course I'll change my tune five minutes from now when I see a sublime abstract, or amazing portrait. I guess I just want to be good at everything, LOL. (but I really do love your work!)
wow this is wonderful!
Wonderful post. I love your painting and your photos!

I like the colours you added to your picture. It looks much more vibrant.

That looks more like a Queensland sky with those clouds... but the initial sketch is just fabulous... I am loving seeing your little sketches of Melbourne... makes me want to visit again xx

Beautiful and we usually we have these white c louds here.
I am in awe of your sketches. You make me want to grab some paper and practice.

Such a gorgeous drawing my friend! =) And I like the colorful red roofs, the brown roof and the green grass in it! You are so clever! :)

Love your art work, Evelyn; that's a delightful header.

Your sketch is wonderful and that photograph of the clouds is beautiful! Happy PF!
I really love your style of illustration - it's so crisp and clean and the few bits of colour work perfectly.
Those clouds are fabulous - I see what you mean about the Simpsons!
Beautiful impressions and painting, I like it!
Oh wow I like this a lot, it looks so happy and sunny! Hmmm wished I was there!

The clouds do like The Simpson's! I love the watercolor as well!
The building may not be especially colourful, but it has interesting lines. Thus «Louis» understands why you would want to put it to watercolour.
I'm beginning to wonder why I bother to lug around a huge DLR when photos like yours can be taken with an iPhone! Nice night shots with reflected lights, too.
[I just followed you so I can see what you post through Google Reader when I know I don't have time to visit sites. I don't really like the idea of "lurking" but you know me well enough to know I am appreciating your posts. :-) ]
Wow, you are so talented, both in painting and photography! Thanks for letting us see the neighborhood! Awesome post!!! Deb
You are home! And the photographs and drawing of your neighborhood are as wonderful as your photos of the exotic places you have taken me to since I've been following. You do fit architecture onto a page admirably.
Love how you added just a hint of color - it really makes the sketching pop! Wow!
You're collection of photos are gorgeous! I like the lights at night ;D
