Across the land (Number 10/10) –California is home

Across the land © Evelyn Howard 2011

California is
my new home

The 10th piece for My Sketchbook Project is inspired by my personal circumstance. Some of you may know that I spent over 2 months in California a few months ago… Here is a personal update - I have now moved to California!

By completing the drawings, I have now reached the first milestone for My Sketchbook Project (click the link if you would like more info).

A big “Thank You” to everyone

for cheering me on along the way. It is very much appreciated, and you helped me to keep going. Here are the other 9 pieces which you have seen previously:

Just the two of us © Evelyn Howard 2011 TheSkyIsTheLimit © Evelyn Howard 2011 Bags © Evelyn Howard 2011
Poster Girl © Evelyn Howard 2011 Counting Sheep © Evelyn Howard 2011 Coffee fix © Evelyn Howard 2011
Meet me halfway © Evelyn Howard 2011 Me and my robot © Evelyn Howard 2011 Fly Fishing © Evelyn Howard 2011

There is much to do like reviewing the artwork and ensuring the file quality is up to scratch, designing the sketchbook, etc… At this stage, I am not sure what a realistic timeframe is, but I think it’s safe to say I might get a draft printed by year-end or January 2012!

- Thanks so much, Christine. :) It's so lovely to be here, and it's funny how the subconcious mind works... I've actually been thinking about the concept for a while.

Wow your art is fabulous! I love San Francisco it's one of my fave places. It feels weird for me to have to change my concept of you. That you were an Aussie gardener favouring succulents and now are an arty yank with really cool and interesting pictures . i will have to delve deeply into this blog to see more.

Woah, I missed this announcement! You must be hugely excited, while also dealing with the details of the move. Don't you wish it was as simple as twitching your nose... a little of which is hinted in your sketch today. Congrats on finishing your sketch project. You have a marvelously unique view on things and your skill brings it to us to enjoy. I sure hope you'll continue to blog.
