My next stop from Hainan Island was Beijing. I attended a few Chinese Brush Painting classes, and was inspired to play with the materials. The power lines above were drawn using Chinese brush and ink (my teacher will be horrified, so hopefully she won’t see this), then photographed. The photo was combined with a few others  to complete this piece.

Tea Plantation in Cameron Highlands, Malaysia

I am currently in Cameron Highlands – about 3 hours drive from Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia. It is cool up here with temperature around mid-20 deg. C (around 75 deg. F).

The sky is usually cloudy, and it has rained a little everyday.  Here is a shot of the sky over the mountains and tea plantation in the foreground (click to enlarge).

My friends and I went to the Melbourne Botanical Garden for a picnic last Saturday. It was a beautiful sunny day.

I had so much fun taking photos, that I went back there this afternoon. The photo below was taken today – another lovely sunny day.

Docklands, Melbourne

Docklands is a short walk from the Melbourne CBD. It is a relatively new area with residential buildings (mainly apartments with fantastic views), commercial offices and retail outlets.

I love riding my bicycle to Docklands. It is bicycle-friendly, and there is lots to see and to photograph.

Port Melbourne sunset

Port Melbourne is a suburb situated about 10 minutes drive from the Melbourne CBD.

It was a chilly and windy night. Not many people were about, and these 2 men appeared to be having a quiet night.
